Delete your Shifter account

Applies to the Shifter app (Android and iOS) and shifterstaff.com, operated by Playblast Ltd.

Delete it yourself, in a minute

Workers can delete their account directly, in the app or on the website.

Open the Shifter app, or sign in at shifterstaff.com.
Go to Profile, then Settings.
At the bottom, tap Delete my account.
Confirm with Yes, delete permanently.

The deletion happens straight away and signs you out on every device.

Can't open the app?

Email contact@shifterstaff.com from the address you use on Shifter, with the subject Delete my Shifter account. We delete it within 7 days and reply to confirm.

Business (property) accounts are deleted this way too, since they may have an active subscription to close first.

What is deleted

Your login and every sign-in method linked to it (email, Google, Apple).
Your worker profile: name, date of birth, phone numbers, location, activities, roles, languages and preferences.
Your shift applications, shift matches and time tracking.
Your Shifter Jobs profile, including any photo and CV you uploaded.
Your notification settings and push notification token.

What is kept, and for how long

A shift a business posted keeps its own record of who applied and who was accepted, as an internal identifier only. It no longer points to any personal information about you.
Our database backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data can remain in them for up to 30 days before it is gone for good.
Emails and notifications that were already sent to you cannot be recalled.

Remove only part of your data

You can edit or clear your profile details in the app at any time, or email us and we will do it for you. More details are in our Privacy Policy.
